TEMPORARY HOUSING:
Will be provided while visiting the island to search for a property or while the assignees are waiting for the house.
SHORT TERM RENTALS: are considered being from one 3 days to 6 month period maximum in some islands. The price of the rent would be twice or more than the price of a long term rental because it includes all the utilities and housewares, furniture and decorations.
LONG TERM RENTALS : are for a period minimum of 6 months on and can be furnished or unfurnished. The price of the rent is less than a short term because all utilities are paid by lessee unless some can be included in the rent when we negotiate the terms of the contract.
Politics
Barbados is the oldest continuing parliamentary democracy outside England. It is a republic of 11 parishes
and a fully Independent State within the commonwealth. The executive authority is vested in the Prime Minister and cabinet, which is collectively responsible for Parliament. The PM is elected by sufrage and appointed by the Governor General as the member of the House of Assembly best able to command the support of the majority of the members. The Governor General represents the British Monarch as Head of State.
The overall constitutional safeguards for nationals of Barbados include: freedom of speach, press, worship, movement, and association.
Economy
Barbados is an island state in the West Indies, East of the Winward Islands. Economy: High Density agriculture, where sugar cane as the main crop and tourism are important. The policy of encouraging some small industries has been helped by the discovery of offshore oil and natural gas. Also being a land blessed with sun, sea, hills and beaches, the tourist industry has taken advantage of these attractions, and is always growing and rapidly expanding. Main exports include sugar and sugar products (including rum), petroleum and petroleum products, clothing, and electrical goods.
Island Living
Also known as "Little England", Barbados British Heritage has impacted inmensely on Caribbean Culture. Barbados capital historic Bridgetown and its Garrison have been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site together with the Barbados Museum and George Washington House.
Cultural roots are in plantation slavery economy, a unique blend of West Africans and European. English is spoken with a distinct accent, spiced with words in West African-English pidgin called Bajan.
The initial idea of living in Barbados is due to the wonderful climate, friendly people, and a happy healthy lifestyle. Also the easy access to Barbados as, international telecommunications, world standard health care facilities and the long standing political integrity and social stability that make this country a safe jurisdiction for investment.
