Politics

Grenada takes place in a framework of parliamentary representative democracy whereby the Prime Minister is head of government, Grenada is an independent Commonwealth realm. Governed by a multi-party parliamentary system. It has a Prime Minister, a cabinet,and a bicameral Parliament with an elected House of Representatives ans an appointed Senate. Executive power is exercised by governmentand Legislative power is vested by both government and Parliament.

It is governed under a multi-parliamentary system whose political and legal traditions closely follow those of the United Kingdom. There are two parties, the Liberal and the Conservative. Actual Prime Minister is Honourable Keith Mitchel whose party swept in a historic victory,all fifteen parliamentary seats.

Economy

Grenada is largely agricultural, the chief products are cocoa, bananas, citrus fruits, sugar, and nutmeg (the main export).  It is  a land blessed with sun, sea, mountains and beaches. To take advantage of these attractions, the tourist industry is rapidly expanding. An effort is also being made to expand technological industries, which are less subject to fluctuations in prices than Grenada's traditional exports.
